Our mission is to support voluntary and collaborative conservation practices by providing guidance, education, and resources to local producers, youth, partners and our community.

The District administers the Natural Streambed and Land Preservation Act (310 Law), assisting landowners with permitting for projects that impact streams or riparian areas. CCCD helps guide applicants through the process to ensure projects protect water resources while meeting local needs.

CCCD offers equipment rentals to support land management and conservation efforts for local landowners. Available equipment includes tools such as a tree shear/grapple fork, cattle scale, and tree planter/fabric layer—helping make conservation practices more accessible and cost-effective.

The District’s annual tree sale provides landowners with access to affordable trees and shrubs for conservation plantings, windbreaks, and habitat improvement. Orders are accepted October through March, with species selected to perform well in local conditions.
