In 1975, the Montana Legislature enacted Senate Bill 310, known as the Natural Streambed and Land Preservation Act. This law assigns Montana’s conservation districts the responsibility of overseeing activities covered under the 310 permitting process. Within Carter County, CCCD administers the 310 Law.
